Cross the Gangotri glacier and arrive at Tapovan, which is recognized for its picturesque environment. The magnificent Bhagirathi group of peaks including Neelkanth Peak may be seen from here. The Gangotri hike takes you through pine forests and flowery valleys.

The Gangotri glacier is one of the principal sources of the holy river Ganges, and there are several mythical traditions related with the Ganges’ origin and fall.

This journey visits several such locations, beginning with the spiritual city of Rishikesh, widely known as the “Gateway to the Himalayas.” After arriving in Uttarkashi, the starting point for many trekking trips, you will arrive at Gangotri. The Gangotri trek begins here and takes you via Bhojbasa as you walk beside the Bhagirathi River.
