• Accessibility: Kedarnath is not easily accessible by road throughout the year due to its high altitude and challenging terrain. The last motorable point for vehicles is Sonprayag. From there, pilgrims have to either trek on foot or use mules and palanquins to reach the temple during the pilgrimage season, which generally starts in April/May and lasts until October/November.
